Pink22 Highlights: 3 Amazing Advanced Case Studies
Our annual conference (and this year we’re celebrating our 25th highly successful year on June 19-22!) is known for its very rich and extraordinary content, and one reason is the very progressive and cutting-edge case studies included in the program each year! In this blog, three Pink22 case study speakers and their sessions are featured.
We know that one of the best ways to learn is from our own experiences, but another great way to learn is when seasoned professionals share their hard-earned lessons-learned – which can save others both time and grief! Chris, Joe, and Elaine are three highly successful senior IT professionals who have all been through very progressive continual improvement projects.
Here is a summary of their stories, which they are presenting at Pink22 – the 25th Annual International IT Service Management Conference and Exhibition, Bellagio, Las Vegas, June 19-22:
- A Nua Way of Working: Reimaging Work, Workforce, and Work Practices
Prudential VP of Operations and Service Management Christopher (Chris) Flanagan will detail his experiences during a two-year transformation journey with Pramerica Ireland, a Prudential subsidiary that was motivated by a desire to provide higher-level, transformative services to its US-based parent company. Christopher will explain the approach they took to achieve a nua (Irish for new) way of working by breaking it down into basic components and then reimaging and reassembling optimized practices and workloads.
- Adventures in Change Management – Proven Techniques to Carry Your Team through Tough Times
Fortune 100 Financial Services COO/CIO Joseph (Joe) Hayes will explain the impact and pressures of the challenges that are created as organizations go through transformations to stay competitive and increase operational efficiencies, while continuing to provide great customer experiences. Joseph will share how he managed these complexities and will illustrate immediate and actionable change management techniques you can use to keep your organization moving forward with an engaged and high-performing team.
- Adaptability: Surviving and Thriving Amidst Constant Change
Elaine Lauritzen, Managing Director of HR and Support, Office of IT, Brigham Young University, will define the sports-related approach her organization recently took to resolve important issues. Following major changes in university and IT leadership, BYU’s Office of IT was struggling with priority conflicts and communication gaffes, and employees were overburdened with regular teamwork as well as high-pressure project work. To address these and other concerns, as well as keep things on track and within the stated plans and strategies of the organization, BYU’s CIO introduced the idea of positional versatility – the use of sports analogies to win the game of change in the workplace. Elaine will profile the successes that have been realized using this concept and how it may help your organization.
These three highly respected and knowledgeable senior IT leaders featured above (and others too!) will deliver you-can-do-it-too inspiration when they relate their real-life IT and business transformation stories at Pink22.
