Spotlight on Agile Scrum Master Certification
Pink Elephant currently offers two Agile Scrum courses – Agile Scrum Essentials and Agile Scrum Master – each with a different focus and content.
The Agile Scrum Essentials course provides foundational knowledge of Agile Scrum and profiles the guiding principles of the Agile philosophy, which is widely used across many different types of industries and projects. The Agile approach to project management is becoming increasingly popular and the foundation course provides a wide view of what Agile and Scrum are, as well as the many different business benefits, they deliver. However, the Essentials course only provides a high-level overview of the role of the Scrum Master.
Why is it important to take a deep dive into the Scrum Master role?
The Agile Scrum Master
Agile project management is very different from traditional project management. The Scrum Master is a key part of the Scrum team and plays a much different role from the more traditional project manager. A Scrum Master is accountable for ensuring the team lives Scrum values and principles and follows the processes and practices agreed on by the team. Created as part of the Scrum framework, the Scrum Master is not only a Scrum expert but also a leader who can teach and coach others.
Because the Scrum Master is accountable for the Scrum team’s effectiveness, a deep understanding of the Scrum framework as well as the necessary skills to apply Agile thinking and Scrum practices are required.
